How to do daily maintenance for Anti-Microbial TAIKA?
① Wipe with a clean, damp cloth, for difficult spot, wipe with mild, non-abrasive detergents;
② Do not use steel brush or abrasive objects to clean the surface;
③ Do not cut, chop or hammer directly on the surface or scratch the surface with sharp heavy objects。
-
How to handle TAIKA correctly? What should be paid attention to?
① Avoid scratches during handling. It should be lifted instead of dragging between the panels;
② Avoid single-handed handling, double-handed side of the board or double-handed vertical handling is correct.
-
How to store TAIKA correctly? What should be paid attention to?
Should be stored in a dry flat place, avoid outdoor exposure. Storage in level to avoid deformation during storage. Place a heavy and larger scrap boards on top and bottom of the stack for protection.
-
How to distinguish the face side of TAIKA?
TAIKA face side is pasted with white protective film printed with fabrication and installation guide, while back side with transparent protective film. TAIKA is packed with face up.

How to fabricate TAIKA?
① Cutting and edge trimming should be carried out on a flat, stable platform to avoid vibration resulting in chipping. If conditions allow, recommended using CNC engraving machine for higher precison and smooth-edge chip-free work;
② If using sliding table saw, make sure the saw blade teeth cut into the decorative face to avoid chipping. Recommend 96-tooth diamond blade with 300mm diameter at a 5000 rpm speed;
③ When making a cutout, drill holes in 4 corners first and ensure with a minimum 10R radius to elimiate cracking in the corners and smooth out the cutout surrounding to ensure no cracks and breakage;
④ When facing the door or window, don't do cutout on TAIKA while must cut through TAIKA completely along the horizontal edge of the door/window or the vertical edge of the door frame;
⑤ Finishing edge after cutting with hand router or smoothing with 100-150# sand paper.

Installation guide for TAIKA
① Keel installation: the keel shall be no less than 25 * 38 * 1.2mm aluminum square tube or C-type 50 light steel keel with a thickness of 1.0mm. It shall be firmly connected with the wall, and the keel spacing shall not be greater than 400 * 300 mm. The levelness and perpendicularity of the keel shall be corrected, and the keel shall be kept on the same plane out of the wall (the error shall be less than 1 mm);
② Substrate installation: Adopt good quality substrate with thickness more than 8mm. According to the actual construction situation, cut and drill the TAIKA. TAIKA surface is lined and marked the fixing point of self tapping screw. At the same time, Pre-drill hole (the hole diameter is 1 mm ~ 2 mm smaller than the head of self tapping screw, and the hole depth is 1 mm ~ 2 mm). The spacing of self tapping screws is 200 mm ~ 250 mm. Install the substrate on the keel firmly and smoothly;
③ After the installation of substrate, remove the dust on the surface and apply primer if necessary;
④ Bond Taika: Use 1.5mm thick double-sided tape (3M brand CIP66 is recommended) on the back of TAIKA with an interval of 300mm, and 20-30mm away from the edge. The double-sided tape mainly plays the role of initial positioning and adhesive thickness control. Apply constuction adhesive in S shape across the entire sheet (Henkle PL60 or Bostik Xtreme Fix are recommended). Note: construction adhesive must be applied at the edge of TAIKA as well.

What are the precautions for TAIKA fabrication and installation?
① Properly conditioned TAIKA before used. TAIKA panels should be arrived at site 72 hours before installataion. Unpacked for better adapting to the site climates;
② Before bonding TAIKA, remove the dust on the substrates and TAIKA backside to ensure a suficient bonding;
③ The ideal climate for installation is 24 ℃ and the relative humidity is 50-60% and well ventilated. The temperature and humidity will affect the adhesive performance and efficiency;
④ Remove the protective film on the backside before applying adhesive. Remove the face side the protective film only after the construction adhesive completely solidificated.
-
What kind of adhesive is used to bond Taika?
① 1.5mm thick double-sided tape (3M CIP66 is recommended);
② Apply construction glue in S shape (Henkle PL60 or Bostik Xtreme Fix are recommended).
